is ‘good-bye’ in Russian language. The film puts the light
on the ones who always wanted to do a lot of things in life
but have been keeping them on hold. The film is directed by

The film tells the story of an ordinary man whose
life revolves around making lists. But when he faces
the bitter fact that his life will end in three
months’ time, he makes then a final list that
contains of ten things, which he likes to do before
he passes away.
A non-existent person for the people around him,
Amar Kaul (Vinay Pathak) is a shy and quiet person
who spends a dull life in the city. It is like a
obsession for |

him to make a ‘To-Do List’ every mooring and this is
the thing that keeps him motivated to look forward to
another day in life. And like most to-do lists, his lists
also comprise the most boring tasks like getting the geyser
repaired and buying batteries.
And then the bitter day comes when his doctor tells him that
he will die in three months’ time. This moment helps him
realized that there are so many things that he has always
wanted to do but could not achieve them for whatever reason.
Then he decides to make his final to-do list that carries
ten things to do before he says good bye to the world. His
first desire is indeed a common man’s desire of owning a
car. Then wishes to settle scores with his boss Dasgupta (Saurabh
Shukla). And he strolls through the last three months of his
life, he slowly builds his courage to strengthen existing
ties and rebuild relationships, which had previously soured
over trivial issues. Amar manages to build courage to go
down memory lane and find Neha (Neha Dhupia), his love in
life. |
Although circumstances have changed now, but he
speaks his heart out to let her know that he has
always been loving her deeply. This sequence is the
most emotional one of the entire film.
The script is creative and fabulous. The direction
is first rate. Vinay Pathak delivers brilliant
performance. Ranvir Shoery, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh
Shukla and Neha Dhupia all entice you in full. |
