Aaja Nachle’s biggest star is Madhuri Dixit, who will make her comeback in Bollywood. The film has been directed by Anil Mehta and scripted by Jaideep Sahni and Aditya Chopra.

The story of Aaja Nachle revolves around Dia, who had to bear the anger of the entire town of Shamli for falling in love. Dia had left the place and its people but now she is back with determination.

Dia’s dance teacher is no more and he has left it to her to teach the town the fun evolved the form of dance. This time though, Dia has a new set of characters waiting her arrival. Let’s have a look:

Imran, played by Kunal Kapoor is the toughie of Shamli who does not believe in dance and romance. He plays the lead role in Dia’s theatrical drama, a role which requires him to dance and romance.

Anokhi (Konkana Sen Sharma), as the name suggests, is different. She stands out in a crowd, thanks to her weird mannerisms and bizarre stints. Now, she is selected by Dia in the drama inspite of the fact that she can neither dance nor sing!

The next in the line is Mohan Sharma, played by Ranvir Shorey. Mohan is the owner of a cafe in Shamli. Dia’s arrival has opened up his wounds which were left unhealed by his ex-love.

Mr Chojar (Vinay Pathak) is a government official. Dia stays up at his place as a paying guest.

Sanjeev Mehta, played by Jugal Hansraj, is part of the

dance troupe in order to make some money by selling his insurance policies but it isn’t quite late before he too grooves in completely, keeping his business tactics aside.

And then we have, Makarand (Darshan Zariwala), who kept the art of dance alive in the small town. Now that he is no more, it is up to Dia to teach the people of Shamli this form of joy.
